He started his career at NHK in 1995. His career began at the Matsuyama Branch in Shikoku, where he produced informational programs, travel programs, and documentaries introducing locals.

He has mainly directed/produced programs for infants and children and school broadcasts since 1998. He has directed various programs, including NHK’s flagship educational entertainment show, “Okaasan To Issho (With Mom)” as well as news programs, music programs, puppet shows, and stage shows for young children.

He is responsible for bringing new art appreciation programs that use high-definition 3D CG into the world from 2023 onwards. The special program “A Digital Exploration of a National Treasure: The Golden Hall of Chusonji Temple” that utilized those latest digital techniques was well received for explaining the previously unknown stories about the national treasure.
