Alina Fichter is Head of Digital Format Development and Lab at Deutsche Welle (DW). Together with her team and the departments of DW, she develops new digital products in a user centric way in order to reach younger audiences. Before that, she worked as Member of the Chief Editorial Staff at ZEIT ONLINE in charge of its podcasts, videos and subscriptions. She was a JSK fellow of media innovation at Stanford in 2017. She started her career as a reporter for Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die ZEIT. Fichter is a visiting professor for digital innovation at the University of Leipzig.
